K-that is a great quilt. Love the scrappy look and all the different colors. You hand quilted? Impressive...can you post a close-up of the quilting? Did you do it in the ditch or an all over pattern?

Okay, just went back and saw the quilting work - it's stunning. what perfect little stitches K. :)

KWhite, the quilt is beautiful! Your hand quilting looks so perfect and precise. I'm very impressed. Can I ask how long it took for the hand quilting?

K-White, I love your hand quilting!
I am going to attempt hand quilting on my current project
and hope my stitches look like yours.......

(you must reveal your secrets for hand quilting----
and don't say 20 years of practice  ---I can't wait that
long to do a decent job....)

    The nine patches are gorgeous!

I love the quilt! You did a great job. Nice with the hand quilting. Do you have a quilting frame? What sort of pattern did you quilt? What is the size of the quilt?
I have a PVC frame that I did the most of it in but at the end the floor frame became too big so I pu the last round in a hoop. I just went from corner to corner on all the blocks except for the last round. I got bored of the X pattern so on the last round I went straight through the center of each block. I am really bad at choosing quilting patterns so this was simple and straight forward. The quilt is 72 inches square.

I didn't work on it full time for the whole time but I think I started to quilt it about three years ago. It took about an hour per block so 144 hours approx. I got really bored by time I got to the last round and switched up the quilting pattern. I have ADD so I get antzy and need a change.

dark blue is the second round lighter blue is the last round.
