I had thought of that but I don't have any of the other fabrics left, I used them all up in the piano key border.

Thanks for the ideas everyone, I hadn't thought of putting a really narrow light before the dark. I think it will work out, finally.

I'll buy a brown fitted sheet to cover my box spring, so it matches my bed frame.
This is a very lovely quilt - you should be proud of it. Just think long term - a year or 5 years from now will you be happy with it like that? Because you probably won't remember the money - nor will you remember the inconvenience of going to the store.

And as for my other two cents - I like the beige border and then the brown.

Good luck with what you decide. Either way it's a beauty!!

I like the beige next to the piano keys and then the brown. The beige is setting the piano keys and then you see the punch of dark closing the quilt.
Good luck, let us know how you chose to finish it. By the way, love your selections of blocks.

    It fits perfectly!!!! YAAAAAY!

I was about to head back out to the fabric store to get some fabric to add an extra red border too, but I decided to test it out first.

I somehow miscalculated my 3.5" border, I could have gone up to 5" with the amount of fabric I had, I have a lot left, but I'm glad it's this length, it's really perfect! *doing the happy dance* ok, now on to the quilting.
