I suspect that you do what I do, but just in case I am doing something different....I iron the seams so that one goes one direction and the other goes the opposite direction. That way they sort of nest together. (I know folks who iron the seam open, and that would make it easier, I think. But I stitch in the ditch and if I iron my seam open, I am only sewing on thread when I quilt.) Then I pin exactly where the points meet and don't remove that pin until I about 1/4 inch from it when sewing. But before I do that, after I have pinned or even right after I have put a few pins in, I peek to see if the points match. If they don't, I adjust then.

    I hope this is helpful.

There’s nothing wrong with loving certain colors, says the person who loves lime green and hot pink. It’s a pretty quilt. If those are your show ribbons in the background, congratulations! That’s a lot of ribbons!

Thanks, Lori, those are my ribbons. My sewing room is very small and the only real place I have for them is behind the door. I have 12 ribbons, and each has been a surprise.

Congratulations on your ribbons. I, too, like purple, but my favorite color is green. "Almost any color combined with green is one I will like. In my town is a lady (and she has become my friend) and is known as "the purple lady." She wears purple all the time. She does have clothes that have other colors, but purple is in them somewhere. She has a purple carpet on her floors at home. The bumper area of her car is purple. She has a purple Christmas tree, but not every ornament is purple, but most have at least a little purple on them. I could go on and on, but I know she would like you quilt, too.

Gorgeous quilt. Love the fabrics-especially the flowers in your lighter fabric. Great pattern and thank you for sharing with us the place you got your pattern. Love the purple too.

Thanks, everyone, for your sweet words about my latest purple quilt. You all make me feel good.

My next two quilts will be Quilts of Valor. I will not make them purple...just won't.

Did somebody say Purple??? I’m sure i don’t know what you mean (my favorite too... this one is next up to be quilted - backing left/binding center/top right)! So, what other color is there???
