The dark blue would frame the quilt and make it pop. It is beautiful. Also, when pulling up a quilt or covering yourself with it the last border is where the oils from your hands collects. A darker border means not having to wash the quilt so often.

You need something dark on the outside in my opinion but a dark blue or red binding would be sufficient I think

I think I like it as is. Are you talking red for binding like the border in the quilt? That would be very pretty.

I think the blue border would act as a frame and let the eye have a place to rest. You have made a beautiful, festive piece of art. I like the idea of blue border with a red binding.

Wow! Absolutely gorgeous!!! I would not add another border. I think red binding will finish it up wonderfully. Good job!

No more pieced borders. It needs a stopper. It is so perfect as it is. A blender or solid border, then the matching binding will be a nic e finish.

My vote is to add another red border and bind it in blue. Going dark on the edges always seems to pop out the center, which is what you want to do. It's kinda like framing a picture.

I agree with the majority opinion. The red binding will look like a picture frame and perfectly finish it off.
