Advice on quilting this, please
#11
I choose my quilting thread color based on how well I machine quilt (not very well) so I use the color that blends in the best. That way my sometimes not so great FMQ doesn't detract so much.
I did a quilt with a off white back ground, but with red cardinals in the print. Started out with the red and my FMQ looked awful so I took it all out. And quilted again with a off-white thread. Look much, much better.

Sooo.....now another problem, even bigger. Believe it or not, I have never had to rip a block out of a completed top. (I have not made that many quilts, or have just been lucky I guess.) Can I get it out without having to take off the border, do you think?

Just a question but is there a square that is backwards? The third square down on the left, its direction is diffferent then the others on the outside. Before you get it all quilted I just thought you may want to know about that.

I'd use grey or white. It would accent the red back but not take away from the piecing on the front. I am just learning to use my TinLizzie and am having trouble deciding on what design to quilt too, so can't give any advise there. Would love to hear others guidance on how to make that decision.

Thanks so much for finding my piecing error! I am bummed... but happy you found it before I quilted it.
thank you, thank you, thank you.....will work on that. I was going to pin baste it this morning and start quilting this afternoon, but will do my fix first.
I think I like the idea of grey. I made another black and white last year, and used the variegated that is black\white. I had real trouble seeing my stitches and had to rip out meandering and go with SITD.
