If you adjust the lace on them just right, it will make the block easier to do....LOL!

Didn't have any suspenders so I hope they don't fall off!!!!  I have two sections finished and about half of a third. WOW!!! This is painful!!!! I'm having the hardest time getting all that fabric under those itty bitty points! ARGH!!!!!!! I've checked through applique lessons, but of course, they don't show such narrow points as these. :? I can do the points just fine on leaves, but on these little buggers, they are just so-o-o-o-o-o narrow that when I turn the fabric under, I get a lump.

I did too Patty. I started turning it under, carefully creasing it, then releasing it and trimming out as much as I could from underneath. I'm not sure if you are needleturning though. I think its easier to trim out some bulk if you use freezer paper. But I'm surely no expert!!

Beautiful blocks Lisa and Kathy - you both do such nice work, your creativity is wonderful.

I tried freezer paper, foundation and Elmer's glue and I finally went back to needle turning. I am not happy with the fine points but I figure by the time I finish this quilt, I should be an expert.

Thats me Losie...I'm determined to learn to do this totally "by hand" with none of the great tools that are out there to help us along. Why?? I have NO idea, but I just want to do it that way.

I think it is a challenge and a love for learning new tricks. I watched a tute on youtube and she does points in a totally different way. I may try this method.
