Hey, I did the 8 pieces first - not going there again, so I thought why more than 1 if it's a lily pad?

Besides, I just go all mushy when I look at Tom!!!

I like the way this one turned out except I had a lot of trouble with getting the points good on the thin leave they all have a little hump. Any way to avoid this? I swear I tried everything but struggled all the way through it.

Gorgeous block, Lisa. Love your colors. I'm not sure there's any way to not have that little hump since you're pushing fabric into that little point. I think your points look great. I do trim out as much fabric as I can at the point before I turn the point and that does help (saw that on the Karen Kay Buckley video, I think).

Well it doesn´t show that you struggled. Its not an easy block to do and I think its lovely. the only suggestion I have is just to trim as much as you can from that point before you push it under.

Wow, you did a fabulous job on it! I watched the Sharon S. video last night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEeirIl1Acs she does some really sharp little points on some skinny pieces and she flips the top of the applique piece over and trims out all the underneath seam allowance. I thought it was something I will try the next time I have a piece similar.
