Fantastic, Michelle. I would have never thought of that, but it works beautifully. I can't wait to see more of your ingenious work.

Topaz, your interpretation of this block is wonderful, I love your color choices. I really enjoyed looking at the detail in your block, very effective - I look forward to your next post. Great Job!!

michelle, love the colors...looks like a champagne? to me.
I guess it depends on what you call champagne.
You are so clever to figure out different ways to get 'er done!

Wow! Thanks so much for all your comments. The ribbon colour is old gold. I used gold thread to do the couching X's. The thread I used for the lilies is variegated deep pink, green and gold. This photo does not really do this block full justice so I am glad that you all like my effort. Topaz-Spain

I was dreading this block from the time I got the book, well, I cheated and turned it into my fastest block to date, woo hoo! I missed a couple of points and I think I need to embroider around the center..but not too bad of an effort here.

Beautiful Block,i love the colours you chose and I agree the center block needs a little help - your bobbin work/embroidery work is terrific, you are really getting the hang of it. I didn't like it at first either, but funny how it changes your mind when you are working on these blocks. Thanks for sharing.

I always forget to log out, so it appears I'm here all the time - hope your doing well.
