I love it Kitty - and the satin stitch looks really nice - gives the effect of the embroidery on the original without all the effort. When you have hand problems, then this kind of alternative is inspired.

Thats what I was thinking too Linda...I like the Satin stitch around the lily pad...good thinking! I have hand problems too, so I have to go a bit slower as I can only do so much at a time. I am loving how your pieces seem to pop right off that grape background...excellent choice!

Finally finished Block 8, its' all higele-dee-pigele-dee, wavy lines and all - just learning is fun and with all the help from these nice people I can move onto start Block 9.

Patti, are you & I the only ones here tonight? I hope the others aren't off because of nasty weather affecting them. I pray no one has anymore severe weather, but I know that's not gonna happen. This year's weather pattern is strange, strange, strange. Even Houston is in a drought condition - & their weather is just short of tropical as they are just slightly north of the Gulf of Mexico & Galveston.

Attached is close up of center circle on Block 8 - I colored the center with purple and drew on the petals around the circle, previously it was just a circle with some very tiny flowers around it. Sorry it is so fuzzy!!
