Finished my block #8 last night....
dont know when I'll get to the next one :( I'm also contemplating embroidering around the purple hearts so they will show up more...what do you ladies think :?:

Andrea - love your block too :-D I love flower centers - if it were mine I would probably opt for a bright red rather than a lilac tone because it would pop more... or you could rouch a deep purple one??
it's so hard to decide what fabrics to pick and how to proceed with these little guys... When I had the bottom petals on, the fabric was so colorful I almost left it without the top two petals. I do like it now, but the bottom fabric print is lost - I may use it on another block later as well to pick it up.

ok, gus-gus...you want honest? it's loverly, but I am working on a block, that if I don't embroider around the corner hearts, it is going to be 'lost' a little in the background.
What's another hour or so embroidery on a year long quilt, lol????
