Great job on your center. I notice that you live in Elkton, MD. I have a nephew who lives there and his wife is an RN in the hospital. Wonderful town and a wonderful quilt center. :) :)

Help, I was at the LQS looking for inner border fabric and just could not find anything that jumped off the shelf and said "Pick ME". Since most of my fabrics are batiks I went into that room and found this. What is the opinion? Will it work as the inner borders?

    Fabric Galore,
Small world, is she at Union hospital or Christiana?

I really like it, Pattis. I think it blends with the softness of your blocks beautifully.

Thanks, makes me feel better about the choice. I didn't want to do the scallops like int he book, and I didnt want to do the half square triangles (sawtooth or on point) because they are so angular and the quilt design is full of curves. Just didn't know what to do...I think it will be just strips and then if necessary I might do some of the gold embroidery.

I like! It really brings out the blues in your center. It has just the right amount of "Hey, you! Pay attention to me!" to stand against the blocks. I think it will work very well!!

Patti, I think its Perfect! It draws out the blues, but remember, it will be very skinny and what you are showing is fat....so I think by the time you get it put on as a strip......gorgeous balance for the whole thing!

Patti, I think that fabric makes a gorgeous border for your quilt.

Well, thanks for all the advice I think this is a winner. Actually, I think I will just sew on the strips and get it moving so I can attach the next blocks..
    Again, thanks for the help.
