Candi...I'm sooo glad you shared! They look phenomenal together! Great job! Tell your DH that you'll be happy to hand him a needle and you will finish quicker....OR....he can do all your "chores" so you can sit and sew, that'll help too!

Your quilt is going to be absolutely stunningly beautiful, I can hardly wait to see what you will be doing for borders.
You did a very nice job. Wonderful that DH is encouraging and supportive. Love your colours.

Ooooooo!!!!! Candi, these blocks are pure joy to look at. Beautiful & a lovely job, too. Isn't it exciting to see them all laid out together? Makes you want to get the rest finished.

If DH feels you need to get it finished, I agree with Patti - he needs to take over your functions around the house - cooking, cleaning, laundry! :-)

Ladies, thanks for the kind remarks. And yes, Kathy, it is exciting to see them all put together ( somehow mistakes disappear-it is magical :!: ).

Pat, funny that you should mention giving him a needle, because I try that often, only he is not biting yet, and for some reason, I don't see him doing it in the near future. Now mind you, he has a very artistic sense and wonderful eye for color and value, and he does offer opinions and make suggestions on any quilt I am planning, and he'll even offer design suggestions, and use appropriate quilting terms that I teach him..but that is as far as he'll go.
I should mention that my husband is an avid golfer, a serious golfer, he has a great passion for the game and always practicing and looking for ways to improve. When we first met, he really wanted to teach me all about golf, and I would listen and even tried to learn the game, alas, it became clear to me, however, that golf is not my thing. I'll go out and putt with him for an hour or so, but I just can't have fun playing a game. That being said, I do know a whole lot about it just from what he tells me, and I try to be encouraging and supportive in any way I can. Now whenever I ask my husband to pick up the needle and do a block, he says that quilting is my golf, he will support it in any way he can, but not participate, lol. Oh well, it works :P
