Candi...that works! My DH is a sideline participant too. He will go to shows, displays and even the LQS with me (he is very popular there). He loves to see swap blocks coming in and going out. Its nice to have another set of eyes sometimes.

candi, don't know whether to hold my breath (breathtaking), or let it out!!! (whistle)
    wow! ;-)
To me golf is so logical, and I am very right-brained for a mouse!
As for dh joining in...he tried to sew on a button once and was very relieved when I took over.
He has come a ways since I joined this board. He doesn't participate other than look at a finished project or a squishy.
For some reason, he gets just as excited when I get a squishy in the mail, as I do. He always wants to know where the person is from!
He'd travel to the moon and back if he had the gas money.
(sometimes, I wanna give him the trip for free ;-) )
...but I won't...he keeps me in fabric :XD:

Ok, (((hangs head shamelessly))), I don't know how to sew a button on by hand, I learned to do it on my machine, but never by hand, DH always did his own button fixing, and me if I loose a button, I just go on with my life without it, lol. I never sewed anything before I started quilting, and I only quilt now, maybe I should learn a few things about sewing in general to avoid embarrassing situations, huh?

lol, you guys, but patti, the stapler response, wins!!!
I think that it is funny that I can grab a used dress, decide on a design, mark it, cut it out, (we are talking grandbaby size skirt, here), and stitch it up, in one afternoon, but it takes me a week to make one applique block!
I've made a lot of kid's clothes and am comfortable with it.
    Want to see her skirt?

grandbaby-doll, with DOROTHY, red sequined shoes and twirly satin skirt!

Oh dear Mouse...I am really jealous of anyone who can actually "sew"! I can't and don't. I also tell DH that I can't every time he mentions that his something or another needs mending! My Mom was an excellent seamstress...like you. Can't tell you how many times I came home from school on Fri. afternoon and said.." oh yeah, I forgot...I am going to a dance tonight..can you make me a dress?" and Viola`, it was made! I swear it was magic!

Your Mousette...is adorable and the shoes...well...they are sparkley!! LOL!

aw, shucks...she is "the center" of my heart! and I have three more mouselettes, but this is the baby.
When we bought the shoes and we put them on her,
she said, "They sparkle me, Nana!"
it doesn't get any better than that ;)
