I love the clear colors you used on your quilt. Coincidentaly, I am making a quilt using diamonds in various shades of blue for the sky. My diamonds tho, are going sideways, and from light to dark. I'm planning on putting the pine tree pattern on and the trees too will go from light to dark too.

verlinda, thanx! i don't know who made the pattern tight now; i can't find the pattern among my stuff -- i'm redoing my back room for crafts, with a sewing center, etc, and all my stuff is here and there.

pam, i laid them all out on the floor, sewed them into strips, put them together and then appliqued the stars and trees. lots of fun! the original pattern had stars and a sickle moon.

Beautiful quilt! I hope your son enjoys it in FL! I'm an AK granny too - my son and his family live on Kodiak. They are in the Coast Guard. I was up there twice on his last tour - loved it! You are blessed to be in such a beautiful place. Enjoy this board - this is a great place to be too!
