I can see the pics - it is a beauty. Love her batiks. Think I figured out why I couldn't get the pics - my Java was out of date so I had to update.
For someone limited on fabric she did a really great job on that quilt.

It turned out beautifully!
She may have limited access to fabric (maybe due to where she lives) but there are probably more quilt stores per capita in AK than any other state. From what I understand there are 30 quilt shops in AK for about 600,000 people. That makes one per 20,000 people. That's a lot.
Plus they have Joann's, Walmart, and thrift shops. I know that Value Village had some fabric when I was up there. I'd probably just shop on line, however, if I lived in the boonies up there. The USPS delivers. (We own 40 acres near Talkeetna--recently inherited from DH's dad.)
