    Great idea! That would be something I could do ... for many years, I've been cutting buttons off of clothes that are destined for the garbage or the ragbag, so I have accumulated about a zillion buttons, many of them off uniform shirts, so they are all alike. Also (and this is NOT an afterthought), I love the quilt.

    Martina, it's gorgeous! I'd have never thought to use buttons...but I will the next time the opportunity comes up!!

    Looks just marvelous .. I too love the buttons added. I have some antique buttons, I might have to think of something along the way to incorporate them.

    Oh how lovely. i have cans of buttons waiting to be used. even some i bought to use on quilts. hmmm. i must dig in them soon.
