    Thought this will be lovely and went to work.
    Didn't think it would take all day and make such a mess, so glad to finish one block. Think I will be making this project smaller than first thought.

    was this worth it?

    Paper piecing is a bit of work, but they come out so beautifully. Don't give up, you are off to a great start. It's beautiful

    Oh I think so, it's lovely and you know what they say, the first one always takes the longest.

    yikes, that is a messy work area! but the block turned out perfect. i'm sure the others will go faster.

    After the first one, it should get easier! The block is beautiful!! I can make more of a mess without even trying!! :thumbup: :D :thumbup:

    Its lovely. That "mess" looks like a pretty small price to pay. (My kids are small- even when my house is tidy it is often messier than that somewhere!)

    I tried a paper piece block a few months back and ended up spending a lot of time on it, decided it wasn't my favorite way of quilting. I like your block tho.
