What a creative idea, and meaningful, too. You did good!

I very much like the knotted centers - so very creative! I just love the fact that there is so much meaning in this quilt and that their presence touches it. I'm so glad you showed us what you did.

Thank you, Ducky! Yes, the knotted centers drape better w/the lighter poly/silk. Varying the sizes of knots adds interest. Forgot to mention all the polys/silks in it came from the seamstress' scrap bags. She gave us everything, but we sorted, organized and threw out all the dbl knit, nylon and tulle, jersey and whatever else we didn't want. I believe the Lord had His hand in this quilt in order for me to "give honor to whom honor is due" because it came out to the exact same size as the quilt I posted last week!!! I couldn't have done that if I tried! So I give thanks to the Lord right now for allowing me this opportunity to honor others and that He has His way with me! Thanks again for your kindness and yes, I'm glad I shared it w/others!

Love the 3-d effect. Nice touch.
Thank you wvdek!! Yes, thank God for my DM's ability to hold onto everything so I could do something with what she left me. She'd have everybody laughing right now for sure about what I did!  Yes, she deserves the honor; she wrote me countless checks and was so generous with everyone all the time! Yes, you need to make something with your DM's old cotton blouses or whatever you can find! She would love it! Thanks for your sweet kindness!
