All-in-one quilt label
#21
Great looking label -- never thought about putting a picture on it. And thanks to this forum, I learn something new every day. Just placed an order for Bubble Jet Set -- only $10.00 at Amazon. Hopefully it will do a bunch of labels. I was told to iron wax paper over the label done on an ink jet printer, but it didn't work very well for me, so I'm looking forward to trying this method.

Make sure you get the Bubble Jet Set Rinse, too, Belfrybat, or else those labels will wash away. The rinse sets the ink, making it washable.....
I've always put a picture of the giftee on the quilt. Makes it really personal, and adds another identifier!

Your label is a real heart grabber! I will be thinking of it all day, smile. That is a neat idea to include a photo...I may try that for the flannel quilts I hope to make for my family this Christmas.

This is so nice , the label adds so much to the quilt gift. Molly and Brandon will cherish this for years to come. I started making my quilt labels say more than made by, each quilt has it's own personalized label. thanks for sharing.

I just did the same for two quilts. One was a quilt my son had memake; a tee shirt quilt. This was to be given to a leader in his church. I asked my son for a "small" verse as usually I embroider the label on the backing of the quilt. Well he gave me one of the longest verses there is...whew so I did what you did. I added several things together and the verse. I always date it and who made it and the town and year. It was so loved.
Then I made a quilt for my grand daughter's boyfriend who went off to college. I used his announcement for graduation, wrote a special poem and then the name, year and town. Turned out very well.
I have heard these will hold up under washings but am still leary...
Yours is very special also...very good job!
Let you rmind flow. Heck you have the whole back to add your label!
