    The templet is a 6 1/2 inch acrylic (sp?) templet. Honestly I have no idea how much would be needed for a queen.

    definately a "girly" quilt. My gd would absolutely fall in love with it. She thinks the only color to make anything is pink. (she is 3)

    My strips were the width of fabric. There is little waste for me because I use all the left overs for scrappies. By the time I throw my left overs away they are less than a 1/2in in size.

    I think this is the nicest combination that you have presented of these blocks. Your plans for the borders sound good as well. Breaking up the stripes with the pink and cream blocks was a good idea.
