Default Almost finished with Christmas projects

Just finished my lap quilts/wall hangings for my 2 DS and their families. Generally give them money but they do need something wrapped and under the tree. Had great fun with both of these projects. I took a quilting class at a LQS and we used the Choo-Choo pattern by Pie Plate Patterns. I chose to use Christmas material and make mine a Christmas train. Using the same pattern I used my Janome MC9700 to embroider the trees (most are machine appliques). The trees are from Planet Applique. I did FMQ on both projects and it was not easy but I did it!! The first one (the train) was more difficult than the 2nd, but then this was my first attempt at FMQ. I used my Janome to complete both projects....Have fun!!

Just gota love both the quilts, great job. We give our families money also, and I insist that they each have a gift to open also.
