    Default Alpaca Show Ribbon Quilt

My neice shows Alpacas and asked me to do something with her show ribbons. I cut them apart (saving the rosettes for a future wreath project). I washed and ironed the ribbons and played with designs. I needed a simple design . I cut 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" white squares to sew the ribbons to, as they were not the same size. I ended up using about 6 ribbons per square, placing the ribbons to see the printing and I had to use some plain ribbon as I ran out of the printed one. Sewed the sguares together and just glued the batting and back (she will just hang it) and simply tied it. I was able to find a heavy Llama fabric for the back. She was thrilled.

Your niece was quite accomplished in her field and you displayed them creatively in a piece she can show proudly.
