I had a friend tell me that the quilt her daughter was given 7 years old at the hospital went to the dog. could not believe this since my goal is to make for children's hospital where my daughter spent many years. Just remember you made it with your heart and the baby did not see the reaction. Beautiful work.

Hope you put a label on it with your name and date. They probably didn't realize it was handmade.

you work is lovely and I'm sure it will be treasured later.
I'm also finding that manners are getting kicked to the side and not learned . Coomon sense doesn't seem to mean anything either. such a shame.

You did awonderful job on it all love the colors and everything.

didn't have time to read more than the first page, but making a comment like that in front of not only you - the giver, but everyone else, is just plain rude.
    I know ppl "don't realize",...yada, yada, yada...
    and that's true,
but I learned to say something nice anyway!!!
shame on them. It's lovely, and like someone else said, "nice save!" ;)

You gave a beautiful gift that was from the heart. You personalized it and thought about their theme. You can be proud of what you gave. The fact that they didn't recognize your efforts is no reflection on you. You did a fabulous job and the baby will benefit from your efforts. I love your quilt. It is darling!!!

Don't be hard on yourself. It is awesome. I will bet it will become one of the babies most favorite of blankets!

Personally, I don't think you're being too sensitive, I would have been upset also, when your quilt took a lot more time, money and love than a simple fleece tied blanket. These people obviously don't realize what goes into making a quilt. I would try to get over my hurt feelings, but you can bet they wouldn't get any more handmade gifts from me. By the way, you did a great job, it's too bad it wasn't appreciated.

Your quilt is darling! I'd say they either didn't realize how much work and love went into your quilt, or maybe the other relative was someone they felt obligated to make a fuss over.

But the baby/child will enjoy having your quilt as a blanky, so look forward to that!
