It's gorgeous. I would love to see a photo of your original fabric. It's amazing how it transforms into such an incredible quilt.

[quote=salmonsweet]My third quilt ever. I'll not have anyone looking at my FMQ with a critical eye (go away Quilt Police!! quote]

I just choked on my morning coffee, reading this line..Too friggin funny! Heck, I'm impressed youd even try FMQ on only your third quilt aaand it looks so good!
I just bought the books/ruler to do a OBW myself..I love the look of them and it's so encouraging that you accomplished this on your 4th ever quilt ( I've only made 2) So thanks bunches for posting this...

Very nice OBW. That would be great as an area rug, but since it's a quilt your bed is the right place.

Wow...very impressive. I love the OBW and haven't attempted to do it myself yet. I will. It's on my huge list of stuff I want to do. Yours is beautiful and you should be very proud of it!!!

Double Wow! A OBW and FMQ. Both add up to an outstanding quilt. Thanks for sharing. It is beautiful and I can see why it will stay on your bed.

You did an awesome job. I admire anyone who FMQ and didn't spend twice that amount of time tearing it out with a seam ripper! It is a very beautiful quilt, you should be very proud.
