That's a beautiful quilt. What a thoughtful gift for your mother! I know she may not be real excited for the next chapter of her life, but it won't be all bad. My mom had mixed thoughts about going to assisted living. She kind of wanted to stay home, but realized what she really wanted was to be 20 years younger and be home with my dad (who had passed away 5 years previously). After she accepted her limitations, she was very happy to be with all her new friends. She never realized it, but she was so much happier that we eliminated 1 of her antidepressants, cut in half a send antidepressant dose, and stopped 2 other meds to treat the results of her anxiety. It's not the same kind of happy as being in your own home, but it's a different kind of happy. God bless!
