    Thanks drop and no she doesn't sew so I do not have to battle for the machine or the fabric. She does however crochet.

    They aren't stiff. All I do is starch the mess out of them when i go to sew so I can control them and then I wash them, dry them and they are back to being soft again. I like bags that are soft. There is a little more give to them so they seem to hold more stuff. :)

    stick a little velcro on the edges so they 'close'.... can even be done for the outside pockets - keeps stuff a little safer...
    make cell phone 'pockets'....

    make straps really long ... so you can go hands-free

    Those ideas are in the works:):):):) I hate zippers.....so I was looking at velcro today and got some. :)

    Henry, your bags are fabulous--you have bags that appeal to almost anyone. When I first looked at the butterfly applique' bag, I thought, what a great bag to carry your LIBRARY books to and fro.
