OK...here is chicken #2 for me. Is it ok if the chicken wire is going all different directions? I just could not figure out how to get it all the right way!!! Those little pieces are tiny! If it looks bad though, I'll try again...
After this one I think I'll start on the applique patterns...but I do it by hand...maybe I can get it good enough on the machine though...I'll try...

Oh Patti. I will have to do my applique by hand also. I have no experience with machine applique. I got brave enough to try and do a quilt label with the machine and found neither machine has a blanket stitch
I told DH that means I may need another machine

Oh gosh, yes...I would most definetly buy a new machine so I could get a blanket stitch!! Mine has it and I've used it before..I just really prefer to hand applique. Although right now I'm hand appliqueing a border for one of the International Round Robin centers and I'm afraid that it has a deadline..the chickens don't. Maybe I can finish the IRR center up pretty quickly though!

I do have a stitch on the machine that looks like a snowflake sort of thing, so might play with that and see what I can do for the eye.

I'll figure something out.
