This is the disappearing 9 patch I am working on. Top is done, now time for the backing and quilting. I was really surprised at how fast it came together. Now I am off to Joann's for some batting. What do you all prefer, cotton or polyester batting? I have never used cotton batting before, but thinking I may get it for this one. What about bamboo, anyone ever used it?

I know that's crossword puzzles but it really (really) reminds me of an eye exam  especially with the letters and then the fuzzy smaller squares

That is a really cool quilt, johnette. At first, I bought the cheap poly batting, but have since tried both bamboo and warm and natural cotton. I am not going back to poly again! Love the cotton and bamboo. either one is god. Enjoy! And get it when it is on sale!

Janeen- it does remind one of the eye chart, doesn't it?
Judee- I ended up with the poly batting again, can you believe neither Joann's or Wal-Mart had the cotton batting? Joann's had an 80/20, but I wasn't sure about it and I thought it was kind of expensive. Guess I'll have to watch for it to go on sale at Hancock's and make the 80 mile trip after it.

Love the black & white!! Amazing how different all these disappearing 9 patches look with the different fabric.
