dmackey, I used about 5 different rulers trying to find the right fit. I think she's found a trick so any one with a 60 degree line will work, even a short one.

On my first quilt I used the Clearview ruler and thought that was really great. However since I've made more quilts with this pattern, I've discovered that a rectangular ruler with a 60 degree line is more useful, combined with a paper template that will be shipped with the pattern. I don't use the Clearview or other specialty rulers anymore.

I use two sizes - 6x12 for when the blocks are still relatively small, and then I switch to the 8.5x24 when the blocks get larger. It would be much nicer if I could find a ruler that's about 15x15, or even 12x12 with the 60 degree line markings, but none of mine are like that.

    Thanks Kathy and Dunster!

I think I have finally found the ideal ruler for this set of quilt blocks. I found it here:

    http://crafts-sewing.hsn.com/olipfa-...588127_xp.aspx

I may be purchasing this soon.

There is another ruler just like it at 12.5 x 12.5 under the Donna Dewberry Rulers.

I just checked all of the sources you're all talking about but can't find a ruler that gives me a 9 degree wedge template. I bought a pattern for a very unusual but beaut. table runner that calls for a 9 deg wedge ruler. It is the oddest pattern I ever saw & will be a challenge to make. Can any of you tell me where I might find something with 9 degrees?
