    Default Another First-Never Stop Learning!

I just completed my first JR quilt (notice how I also learned an abbrev,), and quickly changed to the free motion presser foot now that I discovered how to use it on You Tube. I even wrote my name! Soooo fun!
Please feel free to offer advice. I continue to learn from the wealth of information and experience from the kind and thoughtful posts here.

Looks like you are doing very good. Just curious, what is a JR quilt? That acronym is one I don't know.

I’m going to guess Jelly Roll but I’m not sure. Nice job on your FMQ.

I love the fact that you are willing to share your first efforts at FMQ. I wish I had photographed my first efforts, but I was not nearly as brave as you are. Being open to and interesting things just might be the greatest secret to happiness throughout our lifetimes. You are off to a great start. Stay open to new techniques, skills and ideas and you will never be bored.

Your first attempt looks like a Michelangelo compared to mine which looked more like a Picasso, lol. I have learned over the past few years is to just relax and not get all tensed up. I hope we get to see more of your work as you progress.
