    I made these placemats and center piece for my MIL....again learning a lot the first time I do a project....I didn't get too close up in the pictures so ya'll couldn't see all the mistakes :)

    Well done and keep up the good work. You can always correct mistakes on the next blocks you make. We all learn by errors, you are not the first. They are really lovely, you do not notice them. ;)

    No mistakes. I am sure she just loved them.

    I have been to Port Aransas a few times. Must admit that incredibly huge bridge over Corpus Christi shocked me the last time we were there. Where does that go?

    Murphy - the bridge is between Corpus Christi and Gregory Portland - goes across the port. It is a little scary to drive. You'll have to let me know if your ever in Port A or the area again!

    Thanks...I quilted the fronts and then couldn't find a color I liked for the back so used a pre--quilted material - that was my first big mistake - it made them bulky and they won't lay flat. But she likes home-made gifts so I'm giving them to her anyway. That way she'll be shocked next year when I give her a better set!
