    Wow, so glad you rescued them!
    I found a nicely done wallhanging at goodwill last year for a dollar! All I could think about was the person who put in the time so the relatives could throw it in a dropbox after their death. :(

    Great find! I often wonder when I see quilts and other handmade items at thrift stores or the Goodwill, if the person giving the item away knows the full value of the item. It breaks my heart to think of the person who spent all that love, time, and effort making a personal item, and then it's discarded without much thought. How wonderful that you were able to rescue these treasures and give them a good home. Oliver is wonderful!!!

    It is wonderful for you, and nice that you could bring about such a wonderful save of the quilt. But it is sad at the same time.
