Can I assume that this is for the upcoming granddaughter of your friend? How nice of you to do this. Did you sew it on your Rocketeer? Or perhaps an Atlas? The technique you used sounds like a great way to do applique. Don't think I have tried that way yet although I have tried many other ways.
Hmmm, yes it does make me think of bathtub stick ons now that you mentioned it. Was this design in the background or in the opening on the Mike Douglas show? I use to watch it in the Philadelphia area.

This is one cute quilt. It's interesting how you've applied the design principle to other emblems. And yes, I'm old enough to remember the Mike Douglas show, but I don't remember the daisies.

For those who were wondering, Mike Douglas hosted an afternoon talk show years agog. Below is a photo with the Mike Douglas logo and a shot of his set from his talk show. That's not Mike in the picture, it's Shirley Bassey and Glenn Ford.
