The quilt is lovely but I'm really taken in with the backing.

Just so I understand this - the quilt was quilted with the yellow backing, and then the pieced white hexie border was put on like binding? Or maybe facing is a better description? I really like the look - so cleanly finished (and no crazy binding to deal with on those edges).

I'm definitely going to remember it for my next EPP project. It should work regardless of the patch shape. I think. Thanks!

I'm getting ready to start my hexies after I finish the binding on my Christmas quilt (hopefully today). Yours is really pretty!! Thank you for sharing how you completed it.
