A few years ago, a friend of mine and I each decided to try and make a quilt. Both of us had been sewers years ago when our children were little. We both wanted to do some sewing, but had no interest in making things that have to fit! So we each bought a Quilt in a Day Eleanor Burns book and figured out how to make a log cabin quilt. That summer, I think each of us made two or three log cabins. I have been hooked ever since. I love looking at the quilts others put on this site and hope you enjoy some of mine. I am still a rookie quilter, but am gradually becoming more and more confident. This quilt was made for my grandson's preschool teacher who loves going to the beach.

Beautiful summery quilt, to keep warm in more ways than one! I feel the sun and sand just looking at it. I love it!
