Default Another Navajo Sarape quilt for customer -- quilted by Dee

quilted this for my friend/customer Patrick who lives in Yuma, Arizona. He had made another quilt like this that is being raffled off by the Shriner's. This is a fraternal twin of that quilt --- the colors were changed and basically the background was cream on the Shriner's quilt and black on this. I like the black better! The pattern is called Navajo Sarape and can be found on the internet. He says it's a fun quilt to do --- because every row is different -- He doesn't get bored. I like quilting them for the same reason.

The details -- the quilt is 96" x 100". I quilted it with a variety of King Tut, Masterpiece and Star threads. The batting is Hobbs Heirloom 80/20.

Beautiful quilt; beautifully quilted. And I feel like that is an "under statement" for a fanastic work on quilt & quilting.

wow. what a striking quilt. Nice job with the quilting, Dee. Did you teach yourself to do ruler work? I ready to start trying it myself.

Thank you everyone! Yes, Debra - I did -- it's not that hard -- just practice on a sheet -- I drew the boxes and designs in and went from there. The markings on the rulers make it Very easy!

Since I used to live in Phoenix, this quilt really caught my eye. It is beautiful, and a nice job quilting it.
