Try putting the uncut fabrics (the dark you want, and the cream that Ugly Cook suggested) just under the edge of your quilt to a width you're thinking of using and see how it looks to you. I think I agree with her that cream might be the one to make the dark colors stand out.

A small cream border to "contain" then a 4" border of original print with a 1/4 inch flange of the green before the binding. It would look great, lay it out and audition. You can probably come up with something better.
