    No, there aren't just men in Afghanistan. My daughter was there last year.

    Your quilt is great and I know it will be appreciated by a soldier. Thank you for doing this and to Jan for coordinating.

    You did a beautifal job on the quilt. I love the colors.

    There are women serving in Afghanistan, just not in this particular group in Farah (maybe not among any of the troops at Shewan FOB for all I know). Bert has 128 men only under his command, and if they are still only bathing with 3 bottles of water once a week, I'm sure any dear lady is darned glad she's not amongst them, LOL!

    (Of course, I believe that my DD, his wife, serving back at home at Peterson in Colorado Springs, is just as happy there aren't other women around either <giggle>)
