Default Another Red and White Quilt

I apparently can’t stop myself from making red and white quilts! It’s even quilted! These blocks are most of the Moda Modern Building Blocks quilt pattern. I ran out of white Kona so I used a cream color Bella fabric instead. It sounds crazy but I kind of miss the crispness of the white.

Lovely quilt! Looks crisp to me in the red and off white.

So many pretty colors with the red and white fabrics. Those blocks look fun to make.

I, love Kona - I use the snow for redwork embroidery but have never used the Kona White - yet!!!! I have purchased about 10 yards of the Bella White - still in the waiting line - I need to compare it with the Kona White when I remember to get some. The feel of Kona (any color) is wonderful but I also like the feel (the hand) of Bella. The only shop in my area that carry’s Bella is about 50 miles south of me and is sort of open. So I’ve been purchasing online several places for fabrics. I purchased the White Bella from Handcocks of Paducah and got a great deal when purchasing 10 running yards. I think they carry Kona there, too. Joann’s has what they call Kona but it isn’t the real stuff from Robert Kaufman. Hobby Lobby does carry the real Kona.

And I absolutely love two-color quilts, whether it’s the same color or using different shades as you did for your reds.

    Thanks for the picture,
    Sandy in Mooresville, NC

Lovely...the cream color does soften the reds and creates a calmer quilt, lovely none the less.

I really, really, love your quilt. I could look at all the different blocks for hours. It is just stunning as a lap quilt.
