That's exactly what I thought! I've been collecting strip to make a LC. I like your placement. Very original!

My fingers would hurt too! But I used the longarm. I took a class a couple years ago in hand quilting, and I quickly decided it's not for me. I have a very high regard for those who do hand quilting; I'm just not one of them.

Dunster look what you did with the leftover scraps of numerous other projects! This is fabulous - love it!

Did I miss that each log cabin square uses "scrap" batting? or is all the batting "zigzagged" - pieced together for the entire quilt? Then all the log cabin blocks are sticked together and a standard quilt sandwich?

I used new batting from a roll. I had to piece it together to get the full width. Usually I sew the pieces together by hand, but this time I used fusible interfacing to put them together, and it worked great. (I do not overlap batting.) The top was entirely pieced together, as was the back, making a standard quilt sandwich. I quilt on the longarm.

When I first met you at our gathering at "Sparky's" and saw your 1st scrappy log cabin, I was in AWE....and now you have topped that! I have been saving all my scraps that are at least 1 1/2" wide ever since then. But truthfully, I'm hoping Santa will bring me an ACCUQUILT GO with a
    1 1/2" strip die :)
    Fabulous job, Linda.

I hope Santa obliges. When are we going to have another get-together? I missed the last 2 (or 3?)
