I hadn't thought of using fusible interfacing but I can see this would work and would be so much faster.

I used new batting from a roll. I had to piece it together to get the full width. Usually I sew the pieces together by hand, but this time I used fusible interfacing to put them together, and it worked great. (I do not overlap batting.) The top was entirely pieced together, as was the back, making a standard quilt sandwich. I quilt on the longarm.

I think every color of the rainbow is in that quilt! My only rule is that I try not to put the same fabric next to itself, and generally try to use all different fabrics in a block, but other than that I just grab a log (light or dark) and sew it on. I also don't mind if a medium fabric sometimes gets used as a 'light' and other times as a 'dark'.

    Fabulous job, Linda.
I hope Santa obliges. When are we going to have another get-together? I missed the last 2 (or 3?)
I have suggested that we all meet at the 'Stitches In Bloom' Quilt Show @ the Oregon Gardens in Silverton. I think it's like the 3rd weekend in Jan. (don't have a 2011 calendar yet!)
After the holidays, I will post a notice (in Events section) and see what we can pull together.

Beautiful quilt! I really like the scalloped borders. It really makes it special.

I'm going to Oregon Gardens on 1/28, Friday, with several friends. It would be great to meet up with the group there.
