Welcome to the 'dark side'... Ha ha ha!!
It took me a while to come around to "scrappy", too. But now they are all I want to play with.

Your quilt is beautiful. I've love this pattern ever since I saw those posted by #1piecemaker a long time ago. I've got one of these on my bucket list but am hesitant because of my difficulty with random scrappy. I'm definitely NOT OCD but when it comes to random, I struggle. As I said before, your scrappy is beautiful.

I love this pattern and quilt design! Great background fabric. By my estimation you used up around 400 "candies".

404... you're sharp, Crispy! And I have plenty more where those came from! LOL.

You don't have to do it random, Gail. I didn't randomly pull squares out of a bag, I chose them one by one according to what looks good with what. I made one before this where I made each "block" out of squares of the same color... a purple block, blue block, yellow, etc. I always need more control than just 'random'.

You could use a theme too, like 30's prints, or batiks. It's a fun quilt to make. Easy too... give it a try!

Great looking quilt. I really like your subtle background fabric. I made this one with white, but don't like it as well as yours!!
