Is this as hard as the pattern looks? I have this pattern but haven't made it yet because it looks very confusing to me.

BTW, GREAT job and colors, I know your friend will love it!

Sewnsewer2..........How much have you sewn clothing? It CAN be confusing if you don't follow it step by step by step. I did exactly as she stated...each step and checked off the step I just finished. Also - next time (today) I will NOT use fabric that has a one way design!!!! I had to buy extra, because the layout would have had flowers going sideways.

Step 9B says to place dots on the bottom corners......be sure to see that she mentions in the drawing to put those dots on the interfacing side...LOL -- I didn't see that!

Step 11B talks about "understitching".....then directs you to her website for instructions.....I STILL didn't understand what she meant! Much simpler to turn the zipper "down inside the tote" and topstitch along the top edge....You end up with the zipper not showing at the top...but being down inside the bag....duh - I hope that makes sense!

If you have any problems, e-mail me and I'll do my best to help!
Personally, once I figured out what she meant it was a piece of cake!

Thanks, I'll be sure to remember that.

I sew purses all the time and the ladies at the quilt shop made this tote so I know what you mean about the zipper. They did theirs that way too.

I really need to give it a try I've had the pattern for over a year
