Another UFO Finished... (3" 9-Patches)
Not long ago, I posted the flimsy (http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...p-t275616.html).
Over that evening and into the next morning, I machine quilted it and bound it. But wanted to pull out Kid Two's quilt so I could take pictures of both of them.
Well, I was amazed at the differences in the fabric... The use and love, washing and fading, on her quilt... versus the fabrics that have been sitting the pile for how long....
But it is soooo soft. She doesn't use it all the time now, since she has made one for herself. But it does still get layered on her bed for extra warmth (no heat in the bedrooms).
This little quilt now sits in the donation pile.
I encourage everyone to finish some UFOs, it's a good feeling to have them out of the pile and off to some purpose.
Happy Quilting, Everyone.

Hmmmm... can't edit the original post....
Wanted to post about where I donate.... Our church operates a Clothing Bank where they accept donations of clothing, shoes, blankets and small household items which are in turn given away at no cost to the less fortunate in our area. They've been operating for years, starting with just two times a year (in the spring and the fall), and now have a dedicated building and are open two days a week.
