    Since you all were so great in finding the name of my vintage quilt, I have some more. Will do them one at a time. The first is the one in my avatar. Here is a close up of one block.

    What a pretty quilt! Almost looks like a basket of some sort only done as two put together to make a square.

    It looks like an on point 2-color version of Missouri Puzzle only it has 2 "bars" instead of 3. I found some 2 color blocks that are also similar but none that are identical.

    I think you are right. On my quilt the large square is turned 45 degrees. Considering my Daddy's family is from Missouri (near Alba), this would make sense. I think this quilt was probably made by my Great-Grandmother (Sue Lester Parsons). We have only a few quilts that are all one color with coordinating binding. If you look real close at the picture, you can see where the large square is pieced into the surrounding white material.

    This is also very close to a crown of thorns .... I looked it up for you to see the block.
