    Looks like feed sacks to me...1930's and 1940's or so I think. Very pretty..thanks for sharing.

    Someone lovingly hand-pieced this. I wouldn't even machine quilt it. If you're not into hand-quilting (neither I am, so you have my full understanding), how about tying it? I think that would suit this quilt just fine.

    Didn't think about tying it. Thanks for the suggestion. That might be best of all.
