I love the way you graduated the colors...it looks like a flower garden! Great work. I want to do one but haven't found the right fabric yet. I seem to look at every new fabric with that in mind. The one I really would like to use, I don't have enough of..... ;-)

You'd have to get the book and find out how many repeats you need, which also depends on what size quilt you want to make. Mine is more suited to a wall hanging, which is what I was aiming for, but I can't remember the amount of yardage I bought and don't know where the book is at the moment :)

I have fabric for another one. This fabric is pretty much just black and cream and has repeats of various jungle animals, including big cats, elephants, etc. I think it will make a nice monochromatic OBW, at least I hope it does! LOL

I have all three OBW books sitting right here. Got them all from the library. And thanks for reminding me, I have to renew them again tomorrow. Love the quilts, and love yours.

It takes six repeats of the fabric pattern to make the OBW. You stack the fabric so that the pattern is identical in each layer. Then you cut strips, typically 3.5 inches, then cut the strip layers into 60 degree triangles. Each triangle will be identical, making the kaleidoscope pattern.

I also love OBW. I am on my second. Well, it's a piecing project right now. But I see very many in my future! Great work on yours.
