I think the only thing wrong with it is that it's not big enough. When you are doing scrappy, 16 purples can really clash. But 160 purples will end up meshing together and looking great! Keep going!

I cut enough squares to make it 12x12, giving me 144 squares... maybe it won't look so g od-awful in the end

I say finish it...since you have made only 2 before...it will be good practice in piecing , then if you don't like it in the end practice quilting on it. I agree with the others...scrappy looks better bigger.. I think you will surprise yourself!

Ditto what the others have said. Plus, after it's quilted, some of the "imperfections" will probably mellow out. I think it would make an awesome baby quilt, if you know anyone expecting a girl :) ! I say stick with it a while longer. It may surprise you!

Well, I like it! Of course that may be my purple bias showing through! I love anything purple! I say keep going. At any rate don't throw it out, years down the road you might cut other shapes from it to use in an entirely different project! I can see large op-art style flowers cut from that and appliqued onto a backround fabric.

I think it's nice! Finish it off and if you still don't like it, donate it to a shelter/woman's shelter/nursing home or something. Someone there will ABSOLUTELY love it!
