Can we make that a group quilt? I have more than a few to contribute!

Cindy4856, I think the "wrongness" of it starts at the third strip. Each successive strip should only be as long as the side it's sewn to. You need to square up the sewn side at each seam before you progress to the next.

Ok the light isn't coming on for me. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM. I'm having a duh day myself but this is gonna make me nuts.
I didn't sew the strips on in the right order around the middle piece and then on one of them I sew a strips wrong.

LOL!! Now wouldn't that quilt be sight to see. Everytime I think this future quilt I giggle because I know it's gonna be ugly.

When I am doing log cabins that need precision, I paper piece them for uniformity. It appears that your seam allowances are not uniform. PPing will help with that.

These blocks will go nicely for potholders or mug rugs.
Oh I don't like PP. I've tried to do it but it drives me nuts! LOL!

It looks to me that your strips may not be the same size. Also if
your do not follow the pattern correctly if will influence the shape.
Good luck on your next try/

The first thing I noticed was the tan is too dark for the light side. These look more like courthouse steps. You asked for opinions and that is just my opinion. These would still make a nice table runner or a quilt.
