Apple Blossom star project
Showing off what I did today. The one thing about this give away pattern was fabric amounts came up short and I had to make additional strip sets. wanted to do something for spring.
I squared off the quilt instead of having the octogon shape. Now it is a nice lap size.
I also switched out one of the original fabrics I chose so there would be more apple blossoms.
this quilt reminds me of my mom who always sang 'Don't sit Under the apple Tree' to me all the time when I was a kid.
enjoy

my first mistake!

first arrangement.

second try.

I may have to make both of these. Will trim it to square and add a few borders.
peace

very nice- summery nice to see when it's so gloomy/gray outside (we are having an ice storm- drizzly mix of rain & snow at 30 degrees-just enough to cover everything in a sheet of ice) so your quilt was (a ray of summery sunshine!)
